Eddie Hernandez

Ciao, buona sera and benvenuto to one and all!
I’m known as Eddie and I play tenor, baritone and soprano saxophone, although the chances of seeing me brandishing the metal misery stick on stage is pretty remote.
I’ve been playing the sax for some time and have been lucky enough to ply my trade musically in many far flung places including Germany, Ireland, Spain, Jamaica and India. I can’t even begin to calculate how many gigs I’ve done in dear old Blighty over the years. Suffice it to say, the sax has been good to me and although she can be a harsh and unforgiving mistress, she’s enabled me to share the stage with some fantastically talented musicians, forge life-long friendships and has been the conduit for me to play at many of the major UK festivals including Glastonbury, Boomtown, Shamballa, Green Man, Secret Garden Party and many more on the continent.
I have to say that I am eternally grateful to the 2 Rude boys for giving me the opportunity to join their frenetic and fabulous ska septet. They are proper diamond geezers one and all!

Eddie’s recent saxophone work has included:

Bad Manners
Rats in The Kitchen
Kind Walrus (ska jazz big band)
Our House – Madness musical
